Reiner Martin
Reiner Martin holds Masters degrees in economics and political science and a PhD in economics from the University of Hamburg.
Following his studies, he worked at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in Brussels, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and the European Central Bank.
At the ECB he is Head of the Convergence and Structural Analysis Section, focusing on economic developments in the EU Member States outside the euro area and on euro area enlargement. He published a number of books and articles on convergence, structural reforms and labour migration.
