    Minister of Finance

    Stanislaw Kluza is 34. Graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics. Holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics. Fields of specialisation: monetary policy, statistics, econometrics, macroeconomics, banking and economic situation research.

    Scholar at the Institute of Statistics and Demography, Warsaw School of Economics. Kluza was a fellow of the Foundation for Polish Science. He was awarded the Fulbright scholarship at the Washington University in Saint Louis and the scholarship of Dekaban-Liddle at the Glasgow University in Scotland. In 2002 he received the Prime Minister's award for his doctoral thesis in the field of economics.

    Since 2002 he has been head of Economic Analysis Team in the Office for Strategic Planning of the Bank Gospodarki Zywnosciowej S.A. (BGZ). In September 2003 he was appointed main economist and advisor to the President of the Management Board of BGZ. In the preceding years he used to work in the Higher School of International Commerce and Finance (GSBE-HSICF), ComputerLand and Unilever Polska.

    Since May 2006 he has been holding office as second secretary of state and deputy minister of finance.

    He is a member of the Society of Polish Economists, Honorary Council of Experts of AISEC Poland, and Club 01, an opinion-forming organisation aiming at developing a vision for an economically strong, law-abiding state, and contributing to the development of the civic society in Poland.

    He is a permanent commentator for Gazeta Bankowa , author of numerous academic and feature publications on economy. He is interested in capital markets, banking, statistics, econometrics, monetary policy and financial analysis.
